Hello all,
Just joined the forum. Hoping to learn more about falconry to help me get started. I've been into hunting but have learned from waterfowl hunting with my lab that I find more joy watching him work then raising my gun to take a shot and feel I would get the same joy from falconry. I recently lost my African grey parrot to cancer and have decided to get into falconry instead getting another parrot.

Welcome to our obsession! You might want to join the state club (www.ohiofalconry.org) as they have an Apprentice Director who can help guide you through the process. Also, the year end meet is coming up in early March.

Hi Joe, if you get a chance check out the Medina, OH Raptor Center! Spent some time on a summer vacation helping out. Mainly cleaning mews. You will get a great opportunity to learn about mutes as well as the physical health of the raptures.
