Welcome!
I'm a new falconer who just got made general. I don't know if dave told you or not, but I'm the one that makes the white PVC Giant Hoods. He wanted some for the show he's doing to release the...
Scott,
Are you Dave's old apprentice? He showed me that hood you made for his eagle with the modified chin strap. Pretty creative. Welcome to NAFEX!
Great stuff - thanks for sharing!
It was basically just like the original facilities inspection that you do when first applying for licenses. He wanted to see mews, weathering area, bath pan, leash, and the bird and band. In my...
We had a state warden from out of town inspect everyone's facilities a few months ago. He was convinced somebody was taking Gos eyasses illegally and selling them. To my knowledge he didn't find...
you mean create a command that will get the bird to go when you want? like before you go inside after flying? I didn't realize it was possible to teach a bird that!
Excuse my ignorance, but what is the reason for tagging the muting?
See Fred, us Nevadans are smarter then we look. Eventually. toungeout
I'm in Vegas too. Lots of good guys here. What are you flying right now?
Is that Tom Selleck with a bird on his fist??
Hey, that's one of my favorite parts about falconry. It's great to get out of the city.
Thanks for the help.

It's good to see another local on the site. Welcome, and if you ever need anyone to beat some sage, just let me know!
Thanks for the welcome. Great site so far!
Cool. I didn't realize gos was an option for desert falconers unless they had a cooler of some sort. How far did you have to go to get her and did you trap or take from the nest?
Thanks - I really appreciate the offer. I'm sure I'll take you up on it next summer when I'm getting ready for a RT. Do you do a lot of hunting in Pahrump or closer to home?
Congrats - that sounds like a blast. Are you worried about how the gos will handle the heat?
What are you currently flying?
Jason
My uncle Brent - he's not too active in the falconing community, so many don't know him, but he's been flying since highschool. Great to find someone else in town. The only other falconer I've met...
I'm a new falconer just finishing my first season as an apprentice. I had a female kestrel that was way fiesty, but I lost her about a month and a half after we started hunting. It was an amazing...
