I have seen posting in the past but nothing this year. Anyone camping this year at the meet. If so is there a NAFAX group gathering? I seen a few camping spots around Kearney but nothing real close to the meet hotels.
How about it?

Montana is FULL. I hear South Dakota is nice. www.lchoods.weebly.com
Kelly if it makes you feel better I will leave a window open. I'm all about my comfort. I have spent WAY more nights of my life sleeping on the ground and in tents than I care to count. Kinda takes the thrill out of it.

I'm thinking about camping too. Is there anyone on here from Kearney, that can suggest good camping spots? I was looking at Fort Kearney State Park.
Brett
i'm going to see if I can get away with parking the beast in the hotel parking lot...

I'm from kearney area. I think the best place to camp is sandy channel rec area south of elm creek.
There's a campground south of that city, not sure how far. A friend of mine was telling me about it yesterday. I think she said it was three miles and she had stayed there before. She said it was small but a nice place.

Brian that DOES make me feel better i'll know where to stop by for coffee in the morning and Rich the canvas might be a good idea... just depends if I can hear snoring in my tent LOL

I am a BIG coffee drinker so the pot will always be on in my camper. No problems there.

Im thinking of brining an rv with a car hauler. Fort kearney state rec area is the closest I found. Its about 8 miles from the hotel. Anyone ever stayed there or have anything good or bad to say?

Kearney RV park and campground is a couple miles down the road from the meet hotel. It opened july of last year. www.kearneyrvpark.com Im going to try it out. Tent and RV sites.
Jason N
Fort Kearney is $13 a night. Kearney RV Park and campground is $25 a night and a few miles closer to the meet hotel.
Brett
fort kearney shuts their water off (no showers). Kearney rv has showers and laundry
Jason N
Shuts their water off? That's crazy. Scratch that then. Thanks for the heads up Jason.
Brett
Chris,
Do know of any good Duck spots around there ?
Jack
Hmm ducks shouldn't be hard to find. That time of year literally any pond or ditch with water will have them

Jack,
not sure what site we have yet haven't got called back but count me in for the beer. Im interested in meeting up with some longwingers and tagging along on some hunts. I'll have my red tail and dogs but id love to see some good falcons in the air. Im going looking for walk in fields that I can run my pup. Not sure what your flying but if I find birds I'll let you know.

Jason
I'm flying a Peals tiercel and a Anatum falcon, you can go along with us if you like. By the way I don't have a problem beating the brush for rabbits for red tails either.
Jack
I haven't posted much, mostly been haunting the threads, but I'm curious if there's any updates on a group of campers? My plans for nafa got a little screwed up, and I won't be able to afford the hotel room anymore. If I still end up driving down to Kearney, I'll definitely have to camp somewhere, probably the Sandy Channel area and wouldn't mind a little company.
