Last night was the first time {in New Mexico} that my eagle Zoltar spent the night in the fight pen. This morning one of the ferral cats was roaming and stopped instantly when it saw the eagle. The eagle had already eaten about a quarter of a jack so he just crouched down a little. Finally the eagle flipped his wings and the cat took off like a bat out of hell.

Has any of your eagles ever came up with a cat?

How is the NM transition?

This is the first cat that my eagle has seen I think. None of my eagles have ever encountered one, but, Joe Atkinson can tell you some stories about Jackhammers {male golden} encounters with them. That eagle has slammed several.
The move to NM is just about done. One more trip this next weekend and I hope to be back and done by Wednesday of next week. I am so tired of moving and I just want to kick back and enjoy NM. So far I like what I see here, but, only time will tell.
