Default Fresh trapped RT with a smiling Apprenice attached!

Here is my new apprentice, Patrick, and his first bird we trapped yeterday morning after about an hour of trapping at DFW airport....I don't think he has stopped smiling yet.....:-) Nothing beats your first trapped bird!!!!! Although, I am sure his arm must be tired by now from holding it out like that!!!LOL!!!

I believe that it weighed 1330 grams off the trap with a very small crop at the time. I am sure Noel will correct me if I am wrong!
I know that Patrick has been anxiously awaiting receipt of his permits since trapping season opened...he seems very knowledgeable and dedicated....I can't wait to see this bird in the field!
