Colorado Hawking Club Eyas Picnic

The Colorado Hawking Club is proud to announce, and invite all to, our annual eyas picnic!

When: Saturday August 15, 2009
11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Where: Berthoud CO, Town Park
200 7th St, Berthoud Co 80513

Schedule: Board Meeting 9:00 a.m.
Picnic 11:00 a.m.

After lunch there will be a general club meeting and our auction fund raiser. The CHC will provide hamburgers, hotdogs, and all the fixings. Please bring a dish to share. Bring your birds, family, friends, cash, checkbooks (for the auction), and lawn chairs. If you bring birds, please remember the town of Berthoud has asked that no spike perches be used due to the lawn sprinkler system. NO DOGS ALLOWED!

This event is open to everybody, members or not. All are invited to attend and socialize! The more the merrier.

If you have items that you wish to donate for the auction, please let me know. This is a garage sale type auction. One falconers trash is another falconers treasure!

All items from the auction come from members, so please help out where you can!

This year, we will be hosting a special guest at the picnic. His name is A.J. Magnum and he is a writer for 5280 Magazine. He will be attending to get an idea of what falconry is and who we as a Club are. He is particularly interested in the Colorado Hawking Club Caretakers of Wild Raptors program, and our environmental efforts such as the Ferruginous Hawk nesting platforms on the Pawnee National Grasslands.
Please be cordial and positive in representing the Colorado Hawking Club and its habitat improvement and other environmental efforts. We should be very proud of what we have accomplished. We are all representatives of our sport and our birds and the complex husbandry which they require.
