    Great photo. Glad to hear that you found him. I've got a spare tranny ziptied to a collar for mine. He's usually right there if we're on a rabbit, but if he hasn't shown up by time I'm back to car, a quick check on the receiver points me in his direction.

    . . . often run in the same vein. That is exactly what I am working on tonight before I leave in the morning. And I've thought if I mount the transmitter down by the buckle/rabies tag, the weight will keep it there and I'll route the antenna under a few micro zip ties up one side of the collar to provide vertical polarization for it, which will improve the range.

    When I'm hawking out West, I get REALLY worried (about coyotes) the closer it gets to dark if I don't see hilm. Had that situation last year at the IEAA GOE and just when I was starting to get mildly frantic, I looked ahead to the truck and he was by the front door giving me his best, "Well, hurry up! We're done for the day!" look. LOL!
