    Default new to nafex

    hi to all,although ive been a falconer for close to thirty yrs im new to nafex and would like to say hi to all.besides a few harris hawks ive flown years ago after takeing possesion of when my sponser passed away i have always flown redtails.now that im semi retired and have the funds and time im wanting to trap a passage harris.last week i went to carrizo springs texas then south to star and heldago countys, after 1600 miles and two much driving i only saw two hh both on the wing. im ready to go again in a week or two and would like to know if any texas ( or anyone) has been in south texas lately and might steer me in the general direction of recently seen hhs. any help would be greatly appreciated.thanks, hank

    I trapped in Beeville area. Take a jack rabbit call and when you see Harris' start calling because they will be down low a lot of times and when you start calling they will start jumping up on the poles so be ready. Good luck

    Hwy 59 or Hwy 359 take them out of Laredo and just head east. You will see a bunch of Harris here going all the way to the coast in Kleberg County.. I live in Laredo, Texas.

    thanks alex, well i didn't get to go then but will be leaving tommorow or tuesday.i know its really hot for trapping ,but have that itch.just thought id through this thread back up to see if anyone might have seen numbers of hh's in any particular area of south texas. will be starting in webb county and working south and a little east on 359 (thanks abner) any help would be great,thanks to all.willing to travel
