One of Tracy's amazing photos from last Season. My FRT HOPE chasing one of her first squirrels as a Falconry RT. Check out the squirrels feet. None of them are touching the tree!

    Default Kazakh Eagle

Here's a shot I took in western Mongolia of an old eagle hunter who taught me how to train golden eagles to hunt foxes.

Second pic there DEFINITELY needs to be in a raptor or falconry calendar for a fall month!
(I'd love it if someone here would be interested in making a falconry calendar! I'll bet a bunch of the members here would volunteer their pics for a free calendar. I'd love to have one. It would be perfect for hanging in the mews/weighing room to scribble all your falconry notes and important dates...)

Lauren, That is beautiful. Very pretty, thanks! You have prospered in Arkansas, I think. Those shots could just as easily been in the Willamette Valley. Perhaps when you come home.

Tell us how you have found your hawk on kills with the neck bell. I know it is good.

Thanks! I do have a higher-resolution version that I printed out for myself, and if someone wanted to include it or any others I have, I'd be happy to share, of course. I love the calendar idea!

And thank you, Eric! I absolutely love the neck bell for my Coops. It's an imperative for hawking in this tall grass here, I feel. Not only for on kills, but for when she misses and runs around on foot in the grass looking for her bird. Makes life a lot easier on me!

My Redtail Delilah missing a squirrel. You can see the little pieces of bark in the air and the squirrel to the right. This one got away he jumped out and ran in a hole to live another day

A couple of the pictures my 11 year old took while we were hunting today. She is counting down until she can have a bird of her own.

I like this picture of my bird on his second grouse... Maybe not the best artistically speaking though.
