    Smile Hello from Harlan, Kentucky

Hey everybody, I'm just starting out and looking for a sponsor to go out with that is close to my area and help me get started. I've been very interested in Falconry for a long time, any help or advice is appreciated.... Thanks everyone.

I went to High School with one of the guys from The Cumberland River Band I've included a link to their hit song Justified. It was filmed all in Harlan County. That show Justified only has a few parts filmed in Harlan, but it is a good show, we watch it religiously...

Welcome... and I think if you contact Naomi Wilson at KYF&W in Frankfort, she will be able to direct you to any active falconers in your immediate area, including those who have expressed an interest in sponsorships. 1-800-858-1549 and ask for her extension.

No problem. She's a terrific lady. You'll find the folks in Frankfort are all very much pro falconry and nice to deal with. I don't live too far from F&W's main compound and enjoy a good relationship with them, as well as with the director at Salato Wildlife Education center. I volunteer there from time to time assisting with the raptor exhibitions and have a falconry program I put on a few times each year for them. Hope it all goes well for you.
