Default Aspiring falconer from Ft. Walton Beach, FL

    Hello,

I am an aspiring falconer from Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Unfortunately, I know that I will not have the time to dedicate to the sport until I retire from the Army in 10 years. However, I have been educating myself on the sport off and on for years now by reading every magazine and book that I can find. I am looking for the opportunity to meet falconers and possibly go hunting with them in my area. I am not looking for a sponsor as the right time has not yet come for me. I am particularly interested in hawking squirrels/rabbits/ducks while using dogs, but would of course appreciate the opportunity to experience any form of falconry. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance...

Thanks...Just out of curiosity, where are you in SC? I grew up there. Are you stationed at Jackson?

There are a few falconers in your area. Join the FHF as an associate member. Sign up for the Florida falconer association on Facebook.
