Harry,
I'm no expert in goshawks, my bother and I have been flying them only for the last 6 seasons. We hawk 2 or 3 of them between the 2 of us each season. Most of the passage goshawks hooded well for us and we would hood them to and from the field usually perched on a car seat or held on a passengers fist. We will use the GH with or without the hood primarily after the hunt to either let them finish eating or to contain the mutes once they are full of food.
