Let's make it clear, I didn't say it, or imply it....this time

And Jeff, "Table Dancer" is a proper noun, and should be capitalized, otherwise it just applies to any old amateur, not our very own "T.D."

Chris, like I said earlier, if you need help with setup/teardown or anything, I'm volunteering.

My first NAFA meet was last year in Vernal and I heard about the banquet last-minute and it was the highlight of the Meet for me, getting to meet all of you awesome folks

The NAFEX dinner is not something you want to miss! I'm bringing myself and a guest...and looking forward to the after-party! :P
Ally thank so much for offering to help. I can always use the help. It can get to be a little much for one person for sure.

the after party is always a good time, I am really looking forward to seeing you guys... I know a few rounds of shots will be on me.

Gaz, Rich, Brian, others! Make a note of this post! LOL

Can't wait to go this Chris! Like I said before, I think I was at the first one that didn't have a raffle, we all just met for dinner. I think it was in Amarillo! But the ones since sound like they have really been a great time and I can't wait to go to this one!

Oh yeah, I tried to sell this hunting vest and no takers so I don't really have anything else worthy of donating so I am going to donate this vest to the raffle. It is an XL from Mikes Falconry and is brand new, too big for me so I bought the large and really love it. Here is a link to the vest on his website.

I was gonna offer lap dances for the raffle, but then I considered this is gonna be a weenie roast and my sweety might not like me spreading the sugar around, so I talked myself out of it. Your loss....

Um...Fred? If the vest is too big for you...who is it supposed to fit?! (not that you're fat-you're not...but you ARE a BIG guy! lol). If I win it can I trade with someone?

Yeah, that is what I thought when I ordered it. I have really broad shoulders and figured XL, but when it came, it was too big. I probably could have made it work but I figured I could sell it so I just ordered a L and that is what I wore last season and am wearing this season.

And speaking of trading, since I haven't been to any of the past raffles, exactly how does it work? And I am sure we can trade with others if we get something we don't need and someone else does and wants to trade or at least, I hope we can.

I have it narrowed down to 2 places. I need to see how many total are coming before I book it. THere is a place right across the street from the meet hotel. Gaz suggested it and I liked it, but I think we will have to big of a party for them.

Another member, Chris, mentioned a place with a private area. I will probably do that one. It's 6 miles from the hotel, I didn't that that was that far. I will post soon on what I decide.

If anyone knows of a good place near it I am down for that. I really wanted to do the one across the street but its to small. I may see about getting a shuttle to and from so people don't have to worry about driving. Not sure yet?

You may have already looked into it but with a quick search I found this place. http://www.cellarbarandgrill.com/Menu.aspx It's about 3.5 miles from the meet hotel.

That Old Chicago right across the street would have been perfect if it were bigger.

Just out of curiosity I also looked them up on Yelp and they had great reviews. Apparently they have been in business for almost 30 years.

It says Bar & Grill but the only thing I didn't like was there wasn't a beer menu! I sure hope they have more than just Bud, Bud Light, etc. or at least, some type of bourbon!

I am not much of a beer drinker, only drink it when I am around others that drink beer. So when I do drink beer, it is usually some type of IPA. When I wasn't drinking Jack Daniels in college, it was usually Miller Lite, so I am somewhat used to it. But compared to the good beers out there now, it is pretty watered down but I can still tolerate it. LOL

You realize Jack's place is only an hour from me right? Jack Daniels is kinda the state liquor of Tennessee. We hve had our problems in the past, I now prefer a little more gentile whiskey. Jameson and Guinness have been my preferred combo for a couple of decades now. I see no reason to change a good thing. I will conceed to mix the two together and add Baileys for an Irish car bomb. One of my all time favorites and been known to do signifigant damage.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR.
I seem to remember (vaguely) a raging headache and rolling stomach whilst out hawking with Krys and Michael B. and their harris' the next morning...and I think a certain someone here still has a memorable scar from that evening :P

I don't think the dinner needs to necessarily be close to the hotel...but the bar probably should be

yep. maybe it WOULD be prudent to have somewhere close to the hotel to drink. we can eat anywhere. the afterparty needs to be close I fear. staggering distance maybe???
