Ha! Brooke, you have it. All you need is an unlimited amount of patients, which you have, and you can get any animal to trust you. I've had birds eat from the hand, the colder the weather the easier it is. Hell, with your patients you can do anything, and I know.

Here's "Little Buddy", my backyard bunny buddy. It took a few months but I got her so tame she made a dusting hole nest to the garage door and would lay in it in hot summer days next to my chair. Of if she heard the garage open she'd come hopping in. Eventually she had babies in the open yard we "wild" imprinted them. We could handle them and she's still come and milk them or watch. One night Little Buddy showed up, and apparently she was footed on the muzzle but kept the trust w me. Eventually a feral cat got the babies bunnies and I was pretty upset. And last winter Little Buddy stop showing up, assuming she was absorbed by Mother Nature.
